A Message from Douglas…

Praise be to Jesus! Kampala is getting rainy a bit and cold according to us the locals. It is coming to Easter weekend, so there is a lot happening so fast!

For Manna Ministry, we are getting ready for a distribution tomorrow at Soweto.The staff are busy here at work. We also have our usual power problem but life goes on!

Anyway this week I wanted to share the following thought with you all. It’s in John chapter 4:35:

"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”

This scripture really touched my heart this week like never before! This was when the issue of food was addressed by Jesus himself. Here I noticed how the Lord uses food as an opportunity to reach out! Wow! He points them to an opportunity that could be food to them! Food is so important and so the Lord reckons this opportunity with food! The Lord points his men to God's timing which is two more months or less and he says “Behold! lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are ready white for harvest!”

Amen! This is an open invitation from the Lord himself for us to join him in the harvest field! Soweto is ready, Katanga is white. What an opportunity to glorify the Lord in your, our, my life!

Every time we come to distribute food we see a people ready for the Gospel, and God has used this ministry to help me understand this scripture. You could be the next person to see this need and be the solution and thus have a part to play in Manna Ministry! Thanks and God bless.
